Hi Kevin! Fun to meet you in Seattle yesterday--maybe the Big Table event in the fall could be a benedict-y brunch! Either way, I'll be counting down!

Hi! Sorry, I'm a stranger and ran into your blog by accident. But I thought I might be able to clarify who the strange men in suits on Temple Square are. Maybe some of them were security (threats to the Church are not uncommon) but most of them were probably Temple volunteers, who's job it is to hang around the temple grounds as visitor's guides: to answer questions, give the temple history, etc. They were aware of you because you were visitors to Temple Square and probably just wanted to keep an eye out if you seemed lost or had questions. I've talked to them several times and they've always been very friendly and helpful.

As for security cameras, again that's probably just for safety. Also, the Church is a very organized thing. I'm sorry if you felt strange or got weird vibes on your visit to Temple Square; it is really a beautiful place and very happy and welcoming, just easily misunderstood. Things we don't understand often seem strange.

Glad you had good times on the rest of your stay, though. Kyoto is a very good restaurant. :)

Hi Kevin.

I learned about your organization today in a meeting with Richard Kitos of Ivy Wild Inn in Wenatchee. The YWCA has just opened a training cafe for those in the community down on their luck and in need of job skills in the restaurant industry. I would love to speak with you, but couldn't find contact info for you or Big Table.

Would love to be in touch..

Why ruin a completely good tasting vegetable with a dairy product! After many years of dream analysis, I would look at the name of the dish, "Baby Wedgy" as a clue that this is NOT a good idea....if you would do this to a vegetable and eat it, it would be like getting a "baby wedgy". Probably leftovers from Psycho Donuts.
